Roeline Pasman (sociologist and nurse) works as a senior researcher at the EMGO Institute for Health and Care Research and the VU University medical center Amsterdam. She is member of the Expertise center for Palliative care Amsterdam and ICER (International Collaborative of End of life Research). She is daily supervisor of several PhD students and currently participates is several (qualitative and/or quantitative) studies regarding end-of-life care, such as a large cohort study of people with advance directives, an observational study regarding participation of patients in end-of-life decision making and a study in which hospitalizations at the end of life are studied. She participated in the FP7 project ‘PRISMA’ and currently participates in the FP7 Marie Curie project ‘Euro Impact’.
